Open Accelerator is a growing initiative advancing open interoperability among accelerator technologies. First presented conceptually at the Many-Core and Reconfigurable Supercomputing Conference at Belfast on April 2, 2008, the initiative serves the community of accelerated computing to foster long-term interoperability, portability and usability of accelerated computing applications across all architectures.
Established as a crossroads for developers, providers and users of accelerator technology including many and multi-core processors, graphics processors, field programmable gate arrays, Cell processors, and other accelerator technologies, OpenAccelerator fosters the shared vision for efficient computing solutions across an evolving computing ecosystem.
